Massage Renewal offers fast, convenient direct billing to most major insurance providers, ensuring your visit is as stress-free as possible. If your plan allows for direct billing, we submit your claim for you – so you only pay the portion not covered by your insurance provider.
What You Need to Know
- To use this service, a valid credit card must be kept on file. Your card will only be charged for any portion not covered by your insurance provider.
- Some insurance plans require a physician’s referral for Massage Therapy. Please contact your insurance provider to confirm their requirements.
*Should your plan require a referral, please bring this to our office at the time of your appointment. This will be required to direct bill. Once you have this, it is valid for 1-year.
- Receipts always provided. If your plan doesn’t support direct billing, we’ll still give you a detailed receipt that you can submit for reimbursement.
- Insurance plans vary widely. Not all policies offer direct billing — some may provide coverage only via reimbursement. It’s best to confirm the details of your plan before booking.
- As providers, we do not have access to your plan information. Such as: coverage amount per year, coverage amount per session, physician’s referal required etc. This is kept private between you and your insurance company. We can only submit claims and see the covered amount at the time of submission.
Secondary Insurance Plan Direct Billing
If you have more than one insurance plan, we are only able to direct bill your primary plan. Any portion not covered by your insurance plan must be paid at the time of your appointment. A detailed receipt is always provided and may be submitted by you to your secondary insurance plan for reimbursement.
We can submit to your secondary plan only if it one of the following providers: Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life, Green Sheild, SSQ, Empire Life, Co-operators, Nexgen, CBP.
2-hour Treatment Direct Billing
Due to system limitations within Sun Life and Alberta Blue Cross. We are unable to direct bill 2-hour Massage Treatments to these insurance plans.
